So what's your favorite of all Yosemite's back country trails?
That's a question I am asked quite often, to be honest the answer varies from person to person. Planning your trip will depend on what you're in the mood for at the time, and usually determine the type of trip you want to do. I can personally say no matter what the choice. I have many favorite's.

Hi, My name is Gary owner of Vision Quest Productions and I have been backpacking and producing video's for over 25 years, you can obviously see that Yosemite is one of my favorite places to go.
This park has back country that rivals just about any place that I have ever been and I have been to some very nice places, though I am not so much of an out of country traveler as some people.
I am a hiker, explorer and true nature lover at heart, one of those people who is always looking for that next place to take your breath away and when you have so much in your own back yard (so to speak) then why go anywhere else.
This country, the "Good Old USA" is truly blessed with some beautiful places "I just happen to be truly taken by one in particular".
Yosemite National Park.
Well, some of the trips I have found have taken me years to discover. There are just so many hikes and so little time to experience them. So" I decided to create a website where people from all over the world with a passion like mine can go to chat and get information on that next best place.
When I started hiking in the back country, I had only an idea of what I wanted to experience. The problem I came across time and time again was the lack of information available.
The books that were out in those days and today don't do the trails justice. Opinions are great but everyone has one, I wanted more than just one (a lot more) and where were all the picture.
Unfortunately, planning a trip using those books in many cases can turn out to be very unhelpful, and if you were disappointed after doing that 1 or 2 week trip you had planned the previous year "oh well" (you're out of luck).
So here we are an information website with a blog, lots of pictures, tons of information, numerous opinions on where to go and what to see and the best thing is, it continues to grow all the time. Just wish I had something like this all those years ago.
Well, we have now so enjoy and happy hiking.

Established in 1890 Yosemite National Park is one of the oldest parks in the us park system. This park at 761,170 acres is truly impressive, with almost 3 million visitors a year over 800 miles of trails and a variety of waterfall, ranging from the second highest in the world to sheer granite domes that radiate power and awesomeness. This park truly has it all.
